We have helped over 100 companies to improve their systems and to achieve ISO 9000 registration, with minimal documentation. Typical costs of consultancy are between £2,000 and £5,000. Funding is often available to help reduce this cost. Recent projects include Citation, Go to Doc and Baines & Ernst. We have helped over 100 companies to achieve the Investors in People Standard. The first stage, review and action planning, would typically be between £500 and £2,000, depending on the size and complexity of the organisation. The second stage, implementation of the action plan, need not involve expensive consultancy, as many of the actions can be implemented using in-house expertise. Funding is often available to help reduce the cost of consultancy. Projects include SPICE and Central Manchester Healthcare NHS Trust.
We advise organisations on UK employment legislation, contracts of employment, control of sickness absence, disciplinary procedures, etc. Typically, we will carry out a review of current personnel policies, procedures and practices, which may be free of charge. Following the review, we will produce a detailed report with recommendations. We will help with the implementation of the recommendations. If you would like us to carry out a personnel review on your company, contact Jayne Common at Hawkstone Consulting. We regularly help companies to develop a business plan. Typically, this would involve facilitating a session or sessions with senior management to agree current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, a vision, objectives, strategies, etc. Business planning consultancy can be carried out as a stand alone project or as part of an Investors in People project. Key project activities involve an assessment of significant environmental impacts, setting objectives/targets and agreeing systems and procedures for reduction of environmental impact. We have recently helped a large construction company to implement the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems Standard. We often help organisations to review and improve their processes. Typical outcomes of such projects are improved delivery times, improved efficiency and productivity, removal of duplication of effort, improved quality, etc. These projects usually start with an initial review, which is often free of charge, followed by the agreement of a detailed project plan. Recent projects include that carried out on a charitable organisation, in order to improve fundraising operations. |
